HOW TO ADHD experience

I got How got to ADHD by Jessica MCcabe, i will be documenting all of my learnings and how i impliment those in my life.

I am not diagnosed btw

How to fail at everything

I could relate to this chapter, i’m also one of those guys who get ttold that the have a lot of potential, i am careless and all of hatt stuff, while reading this i ahd a sudden realization hat made me very emotional, i realized i am not normal, I know this already but knowing and realizing are two different things and when i realized that, i was a bit teary, all m life i havee been trying to be the person that i am not. Its hard To accept that you are not Normal and you have to do things different in order to funciton in this world.

At the same it makes me hopeful too, i am fianlly figuring out how to function insteed of trying to function. As she(jessica) describes in the book that she stops doing all the other things and works on how she can know herself ofcourse i can stop doing college bu i am pretty sure i can do i side by side. she started figuring it out when she was 30, borke & divorced i am 22 right now so its still ealry for me. lmao

How to ADHD

I have ADHD-C, i have majority of the symptoms of primarily inattentive and hyperactivity and impulsive.

The hard part right now is accepting myself becasue OMG, i am so hyperactive i got overwhelmed yesterday becasu i wanted to fkin dance on a groovy song, dancing? me? holy, wtf i felt so emotionally overwhelmed i was just grooving, but still at that momment i was remembering the time 1 year ago i was stone cold, Non-chalant. but now my cute ass wants to dance lmao, its ok though.

I mentioned i was stone cold thats true but was i miserable, Having to deal with emotional regulaiton? just mask the hell out of it, that way no one will know and you will seem emotionally stable, that non-chalant part stays in me but i am not masking anything, The down side is that people are calling me weird again well thats the plus side at the same time because thats the sign of recovery, I dont know what i will end up being i dont know who i am but, holy fuck i know i couldnt be what i was.

The biggest and the most obvious lesson that i am taking away from this chapter is “Taking ADHD seriously”, Its not simply a minor inconveniene its an imparement that you have to account for and if you dont one thing might not affect you but a stack of multiple will surely do, Personally i am getting to take adhd seriously.

I knew that i have ADHD but i never considered the fact that it might be the root cause of my day to day problems. From now on i will approach things in the way that works best with my ADHD brains, insted of using normie approach i will use the outcast approach hehehe (Wednesday series reference).

The KEEP GOING part felt personal aswell, becasue i could see myself in it, you have failed so many times that you develop a second voice in your head that wispers “The failure is inevitable” its very important to ignore it, stopping and quitting are two different things.
